PM205-1 Theatre Posters Design by David Edward Byrd - $8,000


Package Description:

David Byrd was one of the most sought after poster artists on Broadway throughout the 70s and 80s. He has created posters for: Walt Disney Imagineering, The Chicago Film Festival, The Metropolitan Opera, The Lincoln Center Repertory, Dance Theater Of Harlem, The Mark Taper Forum,The American Cinematheque, The Hollywood Bowl, and The Fillmore East Theatre to name only a few! He also worked full time inside of Warner Bros for 12 years creating posters for a good number of their high profile films. David is currently part of the the ASaP Creative team so that now you too can have access to his work.
Includes:

1) A consultation with David to work out the basic concept of the theatre poster that you would like to create.

2) Rough pencil sketches of the concept created and a meeting to go over those concept options.

3) A tighter sketch of the concept that was chosen (above). A meeting to go over the tighter sketch and receive an approval to proceed into the final stages of production. Note: Major changes after final approval on this step will be much more difficult to incorporate and will incure added costs.

4) Color rendering of the sketch with any needed type included.

5) Conversion of the finished piece into a digital format.

6) A meeting with the client for comments and any minor fixes or changes requested.

7) Pre-press preparation for the final poster art, if needed.

Preparation:

1) Note the exact size of the proposed poster.

2) Note the way the poster will be reproduced. Example: 4 color print, silkscreen print, digital press, off set press, etc.

3) Consider the genre that you would like the poster to be created. Show samples of similar posters that you have in mind.

4) Note any color or type preferences.

5) Be prepared to give the artist any visual scrap that will be needed in order to execute the poster.
