Bio:
Having managed her own graphics design studio for 18 years, Wendy Wessel is a results driven graphic designer with a rare combination of creativity, technical skills and business sense. She is experienced with corporate branding, packaging and collateral. Her clients include firms in healthcare, entertainment, toys, cosmetics and fashion.

From design and art direction to the development and purchase of printing and premiums, Wendy, as an ASaP Project Manager has the network for complete project outsourcing. Depending on the scope of tasks, she works with other ASaP members to build a team that can get anything done—from copywriters, photographers, to other designers—she is a resourceful team player.

Her accomplishments include:

Designed the product line packaging for WellnessPro's letterhead, business cards and all collateral which yielded a 400% increase in sales and expansion into several countries. The corporate capabilities/marketing/distributor brochure was first designed in Russian, then in English... but the most challenging project was designing it in Hebrew. This was difficult because the language is not a Roman font and it reads from right to left.

Organized and designed the WOW Conference for WellnessPro, with over 800 attendees, which saw National TV coverage in Israel and increased international distributorship.

Re-design of the Herbalife skin care line and related products, including the corporate letterhead, logo and signage with an average savings of over $2 million in print costs.

Whether the job is copywriting, overseeing a photo shoot, or building a 3-D mock-up of a client’s new product, Wendy is prepared for the task. One of her challenges was designing a sales brochure in Spanish for the Mattel South America market. “We did achieve Mattel’s goals,” says Wendy, "in fact the product was emptied from the shelves.”

Wendy is earning a reputation in cosmetics packaging design. She worked with Jafra Cosmetics and Herbalife Skincare. “We have developed a procedure that leads the client through the initial branding phase to the manufacturing of the final cosmetic container”, explains Wendy. “I really listen to the client and try to get a feel for their needs and expectations. Collecting the total overview of their goals is the first design challenge because it requires a lot of detailed questions.

One particular story comes to mind when Wendy designed a “piece” for The Magnificent Seven wrap party. There was very little time to put anything together, and they wanted something special to give everyone.

Ideas ranged from paper weights to clocks, but Wendy felt something more personal would make a better impression. She developed a piece that was a photo album of all of the crew. The cover was branded, "The Magnificent Seven" and the interior was printed in sepia tone and then bound with a leather thong. The albums were a hit at the wrap party and everyone signed them as if they were yearbooks.

Wendy always delivers the good and obtains a high level of customer satisfaction.
